General Overview

T his Academic year 2011-2012 began with all vibrancy with a new Principal Sr. Pushpa Leela.L taking charge from Sr. Deepa the former Principal. Thanks to Sr. Deepa for her unrelenting service. This year we have a total of 1158 students

Moreover, we have a committed band of 39 teachers (33 teachers in the Middle School and High School and 6 teachers in the Pre-Primary School). We have 3 administrative staff and the supportive staff, who are committed and are the spirit behind the institutions. With their spirit of dedication and the guidance they offer our students in our institutions have had much to do with its progress and it attaining its desired objectives.

Pioneer of the year

T his year we have included Abacus and Vedic Maths as part of their regular curriculum for which level wise certification and medals were awarded. To improve communication, demonstrate respect, and inspire vision our school has encouraged children to participate in 7th Intellectual Olympiad 2011. Principal-Parent meeting is used as a platform to make a lasting bond with the parent to increase the likelihood of academic success for their child. Keeping this goal in mind, a Principal-Parent Meeting for X class parents was organized in the School this year.

Counseling classes for every individual student was taken by Principal, Sr. Pushpa Leela.L personally, which helped in the transformation of many students. Meditation classes were also conducted for present X std batch and also meditation classes for VII is conducted by Brahma Kumari’s.

Dental Camp by four doctors from Vasan Dental Care was conducted in the month of September to give awareness in taking care of teeth. Elevation and painting of the wall has been done this year. Looking into the 2010-2011 SSC results as a token of appreciation for the teachers in which the students have attained highest score were awarded with cash prize. The teacher attained the cash prize were the mathematics teacher, 2science teachers and 2 social teachers.


A cademic inspection for the improvement of the school was held on 28th November by Sr. Anthony, Sr. Amrutha and Sr. Rose Pushpa . After their keen observations they have come up with few positive appraisals and suggestions. Mr. Shankar, MEO, Ranga Reddy Dist on 17th April visited the school for an Inspection and checked the admission registers and appreciated on how school is working.

“Tiny Annites Day”

S t. Ann’s, Madinaguda with great pleasure celebrated the cultural feast - “Tiny Annites Day” on 18th February, 2012 with great pomp and show in the school premises. Ms. Regina from Germany who is into social service and has a great love for children is the chief guest for the day, her presence made the day special. Annual Report was read out on the various activities and achievements of the school in the past academic year. Prizes for Academics & Curricular activities were awarded. Students with special talents were honoured by presenting them with trophies. M. Surekha was awarded for her excellence in SSC 2010-11 Examinations. There were graceful dance performances by our Tiny Tots, which kept the audience enthralled till the end.

The Students Council

T he student’s council is a body of elected members that includes a sense of leadership and democracy among the students. It plays an important role in being a mediator between the students and the management. The new prefect body was elected for the year. This is definitely one of the most significant events for the school and also a defining moment in a student’s life. With a sense of pride and responsibility the new prefects took their responsibilities


P re-Primary has visited Botanical Park on 26th Nov. The exuberant students visited the Botanical Park to watch & enjoy the nature. I to IX class visited “Papyrus Port” an Egyptian Resort. The students watched a show on the Egyptian Culture and enjoyed the outing very much. Class X has visited Mysore, Bangalore and Ooty as part of Educational tour


T. Roshan of X A stands as a Games Pupil leader he himself stands as a role model by participating and winning almost every time first prize in skating competition. Who makes us feel proud of. G.M.Sumanth of VIII std scored 100% in FIITJEE talent exam and was awarded fee concession for 5 years. M. Peter Nathaniel of IX has played in A division League and Inter School knockouts and won School Cup and played Pepsi Cup 2011 in Bangalore & Hyderabad. Apart from this our school children have participated in School Zonal Competitions in which our students have participated in Cricket & Volley Ball.
